Chelsea board set to submit €175m bid to land in top European player
Chelsea haven’t been much active in the transfer market like they were last summer, maybe because they haven’t found an adequate transfer choice yet.
Anyway, that doesn’t change the fact that the West London club are still linked with some big names this window including the likes of West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice and Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur.
Blues manager Thomas Tuchel is currently in the search for a reputable forward ahead the upcoming Premier League season following a poor run of form from his attackers last campaign.
And according to The Sun, Chelsea are set to bid €175million in the coming weeks for the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. The Blues are ready to break their transfer record in order to complete Haaland signing, who is currently on holiday.
The Norwegian forward had an incredible 2020/21 season for Dortmund, netting 41 goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions and helped them win the DFB-Pokal Cup.
Though, Dortmund are reluctant to sell Haaland this window, especially after the big-money departure of Jadon Sancho to Man United.
However, a bid of €175million from Chelsea could change Bundesliga club transfer stance.
