Chelsea and Barcelona to agree €120,000-a-week deal for utility player

As the summer transfer business is booming, Barcelona FC are interested in the 30-year old West London Blue full-back, according to reports in Spain.The Spanish outlet state that the 30-year old left-back defender constant lack of playing time under Frank Lampard led to a loan offer from the La Liga giant earlier this year, with the Catalan heavyweights even agreeing to terms with the player.

30-year-old Spain internationap played just 17 matches in all competitions for the Chelsea FC in the 2020-21 season, scoring two goals from the left-hand side only.

£120,000 a-week Chelsea defender was involved in 10 Premier League games after when Thomas Tuchel’s arrival at Stamford Bridge but still largely played second fiddle to first-choice Ben Chilwell.

But with Barcelona looking to move defender Junior Firpo on this summer, Mundo Deportivo claim the club have approached Champions League winners Chelsea FC about replacing him with the 30-year old left back.

The same outlet claims Barcelona FC have held a long-term interest in Marcos Alonso and want him to compete with ageing Jordi Alba for a place in Ronald squad next season.
