Chelsea and Barcelona to agree deal for a world-class player
FC Barcelona are interested in signing Chelsea defender, Marcos Alonso as they look to improve and reinforce their backline. The Blaugrana side are plotting a move for the Chelsea defender, whom they regard as a quality back-up left-back who can also challenge for a starting berth.
The club have placed alot of players on the transfer market, as they look to gather as much funds as possible, and also to massively reduce the wage bill. Current back-up left-back, Junior Firpo is being monitored by AC Milan, and a move is expected to be completed in the coming days, as a result, Barcelona intend to sign Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso as a replacement. Alonso will be interested in a move to Barcelona, as he isn’t getting enough chances at Chelsea, as Thomas Tuchel prefers Ben Chilwell for the left-back slot.
The Chelsea defender would cost a meager fee, considering he is nearing the end of his current contract. Chelsea would also be happy to part ways with the defender and would accept as much as they can get from the defender’s sale. His low cost perfectly suits Barcelona’s budget, considering the club’s financial situation. The player would also command a decent wage which would suit the Catalan giant’s wage bill.
