Good news to Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea receive green light to sign a top-class goal scorer

Chelsea have reportedly been given greenlight to complete a deal for 32-year-old Poland captain Robert Lewandowski, who plays for Bayern Munich as a striker in the summer, according to reports.

The 32-year-old Polish striker, has been in a superb form for Bayern Munich since he joined from Borussia Dortmund, enjoying a regular first team start, with his prolific goalscoring abilities being recognised in the Bundesliga.

Lewandowski was a world class performer for Bayern Munich during the last season, helping the German giants to win the Bundesliga title for the ninth times in a row.

Chelsea have shown keen interest in the 32-year-old Bundesliga striker, as they are planning an overhaul to improve their attack ahead of the next season.

However, The Premier League giants have been handed a boost to land the signature of the Poland striker, as his agent is apparently open to the idea of his client leaving Bayern this summer, according to CaughtOffside.

Lewandowski was able to score 48 goals across all competitions for Bayern Munich during the last season and would be an upgrade for Timo Werner, who has not really delivered at the Stamford Bridge since his £47m move from RB Leipzig in the last summer transfer window.
