Official Done Deal: Chelsea complete the transfer of an on-form player
Champions League winners Chelsea have got their transfer dealings underway in what promises to be a busy summer for their manager Thomas Tuchel who is keen on turning the blues into serial premier league challengers.
The London-based club expect to bring in a striker and a new central defender in this transfer window with their owner Roman Abramovich willing to back the manager with a hefty transfer kitty rumored to be in the region of £150m.
Their plans have been boosted further following the departure of young England defender and their academy graduate Fikayo Tomori whose loan spell with Italian giants AC Milan has been made permanent.Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano whose has built his reputation on matters transfers has taken to his Twitter account to reveal that the Serie A side have triggered the player’s release clause.
“Fikayo Tomori joins AC Milan on a permanent deal, confirmed. €28.5m to Chelsea as final fee. The clause has been triggered.”Romano Tweeted.
Chelsea have been linked with moves for Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund and Niklas Sule of Bayern Munich and they have already made contact with the representatives of Morocco and Inter Milan fullback Aachraf Hakimi about a move.
