Rumours were sent into overdrive on Monday after Erling Haaland was seen partying on the Greek island of Mykonos alongside established Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez.
Borussia Dortmund’s in-demand dynamo twirled handkerchieves overhead while Mahrez shouted in enjoyment alongside other revellers.
The City winger joked he was indeed attempting to recruit the Norway striker, retweeting a video of him and Haaland with the caption: “Agent Mahrez on duty.”
Many others hoped the Algeria attacker was doing his bit for City’s summer transfer drive.
The prospect of linking up with Pep Guardiola’s squad might well appeal to the 20-year-old after City just won a third Premier League title in four seasons.
They also lifted their fourth straight League Cup and finished as runners-up to Chelsea in their maiden Champions League final.
Dortmund are reportedly seeking a package worth £172million if they’re to sell their star frontman.
