Champions League winners Chelsea have got their transfer activities underway by submitting their first bid for their number one transfer target as Tuchel seeks to turn the London-based side into serial premier league challengers.
As reported by Skysports, the Blues have made a player plus cash offer for highly-rated Morocco and Inter Milan right-back Aachraf Hakimi who is thought to be a tailor-made replacement for Cesar Azpilicueta.
Hakimi has been courted by a host of clubs and a summer bidding war is expected for the former Borrusia Dortmund and Real Madrid right-back whose stock in the current market has skyrocketed after his title winning exploits with Inter. The Serie A side are said to be willing to listen to offers for the defender but they will demand for a fee in the region of €80m from any interested suitor keen on signing their prized asset this summer.
Chelsea have reportedly placed a €60m bid for Hakimi and have offered Andreas Christensen and Emerson Palmeiras as part of the deal which is likely to tempt Inter who have been trying to sign the Chelsea duo.
French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain are also big admirers of Hakimi and were the first club to submit a similar bid to Chelsea’s which is however understood to be short of what Inter Milan are demanding.
