Chelsea fans react as board offer £60m to sign Serie A star player to be announced this week

It’s the summer transfer window and a chance for clubs to bring in new players and also sell those they consider surplus to requirements. Over in England, top clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham have been quiet in the transfer market but City and Liverpool have been quite busy. Pep Guardiola’s side have offloaded two players already and reports suggests that more could follow. For Liverpool, Klopp’s side have completed the signing of a defender from RB Leipzig in Germany. The Reds are still being linked with a few players so the changes of another player arriving at Merseyside are pretty high.

Late yesterday night, Di Marzio reported that Chelsea have made a bid in the region of €60m for Inter Milan’s Achraf Hakimi.

The ex Real Madrid and Borrusia Dortmund defender is reportedly one of the players who may be sold by Inter Milan in this summer’s transfer window. The Italian club is struggling financially and would sell a couple players to balance their books. Hakimi has made a name for himself during his time at Inter Milan as well as Borrusia Dortmund. The Morrocan international is one of he fastest players in the world and can play either as a RWB or a RW.

Chelsea have Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta as fullbacks but with Cesar Azpilicueta coming towards the end of his tenure at Chelsea, another player would be needed to compete with James for the RWB role. The fans took to social media after the reports were made to give their opinion. A few of the fans said that signing Hakimi ahould not be a priority for the club since they still have Reece James while others insisted that the deal is a no-brainer. Below are the comments…What do you think about this? Should Chelsea sign Hakimi from Inter Milan? Or should they channel the energy on the signing of Haaland since they already have Reece James at RWB?
