What Tuchel said about Kante’s injury ahead Champions League final

Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has revealed the extent of N’Golo Kante’s Injury following the midfielder’s first half substitution in Chelsea’s clash with Leicester City on Tuesday night.

The France international was replaced by Kovacic in the opening half of the contest at Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel disclosed that the former Leicester man came off as a precaution. But, with the final of the Champions League looming, the Blues will be concerned about the 30-year-old hamstring in the coming days.

“N’Golo [Kante] is not injured,” The Chelsea boss told reporters in his post-match interview.

“He felt his hamstring and was worried that he would get injured if he continued to play.” Tuchel added.

Any injury for the Frenchman would be a massive blow to Chelsea’s chance of winning the Champions League trophy with the midfielder’s name likely to be in Chelsea’s starting XI to face Manchester City in the final on May 29.
