Real Madrid injury updates ahead second leg clash with Chelsea
Spanish giants Real Madrid have confirmed that the likes of Raphael Varane, Lucas Vazquez, Federico Valverde as well as Dani Carvajal did not train for the club on Monday. This comes as the club prepares their crucial Champions League clash against English giants Chelsea.
However, the good news for Madrid fans is that club captain Sergio Ramos has returned to training and will likely play a part when the two sides clash at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday with a place in the Champions League on the line.
It has also been reported that French left back Ferland Mendy has returned to light training and is set to be available for the semi final decider.
This will come as good news to Chelsea given that they have only one player who is at risk of missing the game. Madrid’s growing injury list means Chelsea are favourites to win the tie.
If Chelsea beat Madrid, it will be the first time the club has reached the final of Europe’s premier competition since winning it in 2012.
