telsea who are said to be leading the chase for Bayern Munich defender David Alaba, are struggling to agree personal terms with the player, as the Austrian demands for a £400,000 per week wages to complete his move to Stamford bridge in the summer.
Chelsea have been locked in talks with the player’s representatives since January, as they look to beat the likes of Manchester United, Juventus and Inter Milan to signing the left back.
Alaba has just six months left in his current contract with Bayern and the Blues are keen to make a deal happen before the end of the current campaign, and are hoping the player would reduce his wages to make the move happen in the summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea new manager Thomas Tuchel is also said to be a fan of the Bayern Munich defender and he’s keen to add his experience to his Chelsea squad to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
Varane consider Real Madrid summer exit –
Real Madrid center back Raphael Varane may not renew his contract with the Spanish giants as he’s considering leaving the Bernabeu this summer according to reports.
The French defender feels he needs a new challenge in his career, having moved to Spain at the age of 17 in 2011, with the likes of Manchester United, Juventus and Paris Saint Germain all interested in signing the defender this summer.
However, there’s set to be an awful lot of changeover at the Bernabeu in the next few months and if Real Madrid can’t convince Varane to renew, they may look to sell him in the summer rather than lose the defender for free in 2022 when his contract expires.
Reports claim that the Spanish club could demand around £50m for the defender this summer, with the leading contenders said to be PSG and Manchester United who are also interested in Varane’s teammate Sergio Ramos.
Thiago Silva wants Chelsea Stay –
Brazilian defender, Thiago Silva is hoping to extend his Chelsea contract past this season, according to Skysports news .
The 36 year old, his keen to be part of Thomas Tuchel’s plan behind this season, and he’s hoping to resume talks over a new contract with the Blues. Thiago Silva joined the Blues last summer on a free transfer, after he left French champions Paris Saint German as a short term defensive solution for the London club.
However, any move by Chelsea to partner the Brazilian with summer target David Alaba will rest on the Bayern Munich defender lowering his eye watering weekly wages.
Premier League clubs in demand for RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate –
Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are all Interested in signing RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate this summer according to reports.
The 21 year old defender’s release clause will become active, which could see the Premier League clubs move for him this summer with latest interest from Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham also on his cards.
Konate has struggled with injury problems in the past two season but was excellent during the 2018/2019 season for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga averaging a superb 7.19 rating, even though he’s just getting back to his best.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are said to be expected to make a formal approach for the defender before the end of the current campaign, as the club look to solve their defensive woes this season and with the club looking to cash in on either Matip or Joe Gomez in the summer, but will have to pay the defender’s release clause which is around £36m in the summer.
