Done Deal: Chelsea announce transfer deal for a wonderkid

January transfer window has been full of many movements both in and out of major clubs across Europe and Chelsea have had their own share.

MK Dons Manager Russell Martin has announced just how delighted he is to have signed Charlie Brown from Chelsea.

With Chelsea having so many youngsters at the club that are tipped to leave in the coming weeks, Brown made the big decision to pack up his bags and make the big switch to join the Dons in order to forge a career for himself.

In 108 appearances for their Under-23s, Under-19s and Under-18s, Brown scored 53 goals and provided 12 assists, contributing to a goal every 87 minutes, but he was n ever going to be given a shot on the Chelsea first-team as they have too much quality ahead of him.
So now he has made the permanent move to the Dons, and new manager Russell has opened up and revealed just how delighted he is to see the young attacker make the move, he told the club website: “Charlie is someone we’ve been monitoring for a while now and when it transpired that we could sign him, we jumped at the chance.

“He’s shown a lot of intent to come and play for MK Dons – turning down some more lucrative offers because he believes in what we’re doing here.

“I believe the way we play and the culture we’re building will suit him really well. He’s scored a lot of goals at youth level but I believe we can improve him even further.

“In the long term, he’s going to be a very, very good signing for the Football Club and I’m confident, once we get him up to speed, he will help us in the short-term as well.”

There are many Chelsea fans reading this that had hoped the young man would be given more of a shot to shine at the club, but they will also understand his reasons for leaving the club too.

They will also wish him the best of luck and will be interested to see how he develops over the next couple of seasons
