Done deal: Chelsea academy star signs professional deal after first team invitation

Talented Chelsea youngster Jude Soonsup-Bell has just signed his first professional contract with the club, the day after his 17th birthday.

The striker has emerged as one of the premier talents in the under 18 group over the last few months, and now looks ready for Development Squad action.

After that will likely come a loan, and long term, a push for first team action. We saw the first hints of that this weekend, when the kid was called up for the match against Morecambe in the FA Cup.

Italian giant wants to sign top Arsenal man

The Telegraph is reporting that Napoli wants to sign Kieran Tierney after they missed out on his signature last summer.

The defender joined the Gunners in the summer of 2019 after a trophy-laden spell at the Scottish club.

Tierney’s first season wasn’t the best of campaigns, and it seemed that he would leave the Gunners.

The report says that Napoli missed out on a chance to sign him in the summer transfer window, and they are now prepared to make another move for him at the end of this season.

Some Chelsea fans react after hearing Lampard wants £40m star

Chelsea fans sat either side of the fence after they heard the news that they were potentially in the race to sign Dayot Upamencano.

The Mail Online reported that Frank Lampard was ready to rival the rest of Europe in an attempt to redirect the defender to Stamford Bridge.

With a tantalising release clause of £40m (Eurosport), there are suggestions that Chelsea are willing to fight off the attentions of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool among others for the RB Leipzig prodigy.

The centre-back position has been a hot topic of debate surrounding Chelsea, and with Thiago Silva’s career coming to a close, Lampard will need to look for replacements.

Some on social media suggested alternatives to the French international, including players from Southampton, Paris St Germain or Juventus.

Chelsea unwilling to let Ross Barkley leave for Aston Villa on the cheap

Ross Barkley’s loan move to Aston Villa will only be made permanent for a sizeable fee.

Two years ago, Ross Barkley completed a protracted £15million move to Chelsea, who have no intention of letting him leave Stamford Bridge on the cheap.

A loan move to Aston Villa was considered the best option for both parties and had helped to revitalise Barkley’s career before he suffered a hamstring injury just five minutes into the 2-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Despite the abundance of talent Frank Lampard has to choose from, the Chelsea manager won’t let Barkley leave for a reduced fee according to the Birmingham Mail.

With Barkley’s contract tying him to Chelsea until June 2023, they are under no pressure to sell unless Villa make them the right offer.

Man Utd set Pogba asking price amid Pochettino interest

Man Utd have reportedly set a new asking price for Paul Pogba amid fresh interest from Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Pogba fueled speculation over his Old Trafford future in October by admitting playing for Real Madrid is his “dream”, before his agent Mino Raiola claimed his client’s career with United was “over”.

But the World Cup winner looks to have rediscovered some of his best form in recent weeks and Man Utd have a chance to go three points clear of current leaders Liverpool if they beat Burnley on Tuesday.

The Daily Mirror (via the Daily Express) claims that Man Utd will demand a £75m fee if they are to let Pogba join PSG in the summer.

Pochettino is said to be keen on Pogba with the Argentinean dreaming of playing the Man Utd star behind Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
