Chelsea board, Frank Lampard disagree over transfer deal
Chelsea’s manager Frank Lampard and the board of the club has gotten an issue to iron out for the smooth running of the club as regards a transfer deal.
Chelsea has been chasing Declan Rice from the summer transfer window. The West Ham star was previously linked to moving to Stamford Bridge but the deal was cut-off due to the high money tagged to him by the Hammers in the summer transfer window.
Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard is a big fan of the England star and want him the Club but the Chelsea boards are not ready to pay the money tagged to the defensive-midfielder.
Chelsea were front-runners in the summer transfer market, spending over £200 million on five new additions.
According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Rice is a target ‘driven’ by Frank Lampard with those in the board hesitant to match the Englishman’s valuation.
Lampard reported that the cause of the clash with boards was because of the signing of Declan Rice.
